Prof. Murapa is a successful executive with a 35-year track record of delivering excellent performance in diverse and challenging assignments. A Director at Khulisa Management Services, he is a leading African expert in higher education, political science, governance and economic development, public sector management, civil service reform, decentralization and local government, institutional development and capacity building. Previous positions include Vice Chancellor and CEO of Africa University, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Zimbabwe, and Inter-regional Advisor to the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs. In 2008, Prof. Murapa was selected as a recipient of the Woodrow Wilson Senior Scholar Fellowship.
Mr. Capozza is responsible for the overall management of Khulisa Management Services, including managing the company's administrative and finance divisions. Mr. Capozza is also responsible for developing Khulisa's strategic South African and global partnerships.
Prior to establishing Khulisa Management Services in 1993, Mr. Capozza co-founded and financially managed Khalipha Investments (Pty) Ltd from 1987 to 1991, in Swaziland. Khalipha Investments owned several firms, including a public sector management consulting company with numerous clients such as USAID, The European Union, World Bank, etc. During this period Mr. Capozza expanded the firm throughout the SADC region and consolidated Khalipha Investments into Khulisa Management Services in 1993. In 1991, Mr. Capozza carried out a one-year assignment for USAID Pretoria as a Private Sector Specialist responsible for identifying private sector projects in empowerment areas and designed, implemented and monitored projects with NAFCOC and the Sullivan Signatories Association.
Mr. Capozza is a seasoned business professional, who has owned and operated several firms over the past 22 years in Southern Africa. Mr. Capozza holds a Masters Degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, USA and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. Mr. Capozza was a Board Director of the American Chamber of Commerce in South Africa from 1993 to 2000.
Mr. Ogawa is a specialist in monitoring and evaluation and information systems design. He began working in development in Southern Africa in 1986 focusing on education, refugee assistance, and social and economic development projects. Mr. Ogawa has experience designing management information systems, conducting needs assessments and feasibility studies, project management, monitoring and evaluation, cash flow and cost analysis, accounting, training and report writing. Mr. Ogawa is currently leading a team that is developing a web-based data warehouse and collaborative workgroup for the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in South Africa. Prior to joining Khulisa in 1994, Mr. Ogawa administered and implemented the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (Canada Fund), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Education Assistance Programme, and the World University Service of Canada (WUSC) Refugee Scholarship Programme. Mr. Ogawa has a BSc in Mathematical Computing from the University of British Columbia.
Ms Rishty is a Senior Manager at Khulisa Management Services with experience in infrastructure development, project management, as well as human resource, financial and contracts management. Ms. Rishty provides project management assistance to the DataWarehouse, Enhanced Strategic Information project and the South Africa PEPFAR Partners Performance Assessment (SAPPPA) contract.
Ms. Zanele Nkabinde-Maseko is an experienced administrative support professional. She has been with Khulisa Management Services for over eight years providing a broad range of administrative and logistical support services to Khulisa projects operating throughout Southern Africa. Most recently she has been solely responsible for planning and organising all Khulisa teams’ travel needs.

Rouxna has been in human resources and labour relations since 1994. She started her career at SASBO, the Finance Union where she gained extensive experience in labour law & labour disputes including salary negotiations, TASK job evaluations, training, grievance, disciplinary and CCMA representations. She completed her HR studies at the Institute for Personnel Management (IPM) and did her Advanced Labour Law at RAU in 2004. In 2001, after 7 years as unionist she moved to the position of HR manager for a national retailer.
She joined Khulisa in January 2007 as a seasoned HR generalist.
Mark has extensive experience as a Financial Manager and Analyst. He obtained his B. Com Investment Management degree at Rand Afrikaans University in 1990, and gained financial accounting experience in industries such as manufacturing & engineering, share transfer, human resources & information technology, management consultanting, and also worked for an international NGO.
He is involved in the oversight of projects & programmes, and monitor overall project financial status, which includes the tracking of contract obligations, level of effort and budget/expenditure comparisons. Implements and manages financial office services such as time recording, records control, project and budget accounting.
Marge du Plessis joined Khulisa in June 2001 as Senior Bookkeeper. She was repsonsible for Payroll and handling of the company books up to preparation for the Financial Year End Audit as well as The South African Revenue Services Tax Audit.
In November 2009 Marge was promoted to Operations manager. Marge has extensive experience in Logistics and Procurement Management. Before joining, Khulisa she was with a large Corporate as Shipping Manager. She obtained Distinctions in Logistics and Warehouse Management and managed a warehouse with stock to the value of R9 mil with a 99% accuracy rate. She obtained a First Class in Procurement Management, which is recognised by The Procurement Management Institute in the United Kingdom.
Marge has a vast knowledge of international buying, Forex Management and Foreign Exchange and has an extensive Financial background.
Kim joined Khulisa in April 2005 as financial manager. Prior to joining Khulisa she worked for KPMG for six years first in audit and then in their business advisory services department. Kim currently manages the running of Khulisa's finance department with the help of a strong financial team.
Kim holds a BCompt Honours from UNISA as well as a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Queens University (Canada.)
Ms. Florah Nkoana joined Khulisa in 2008 as an accountant. Prior to joining Khulisa, she worked in finance for an outdoor advertising company, where she was responsible for three countries (Lesotho, Swaziland and Malawi). She holds a Teachers Diploma and has completed courses in Bookkeeping and Practical Accounting at Damelin College. She is currently pursuing BComm Financial Management at Unisa.
Belinda Prinsloo joined Khulisa in September 2009 as Senior Bookkeeper. She has a broad range of experience in finance and payroll administration which she gained working in industries such as Management Information Systems, Motor Industry, Short term Insurance, Imports & Distribution of inter alia Capital and other items in the Construction Industry as well as final user.
Prior to joining Khulisa, Belinda worked for a company listed on Alt-X as an Assistant Accountant also managing payroll and associated companies. Belinda is closely involved with all the other staff in the finance team to ensure the smooth running of finance issues.
Ms. Angela Karanja is an accountant with a special interest in donor accounting. She has worked in the development field for the past five years in the areas of project management and accounting in east, central and southern Africa.
She has a BSc. in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville (US) and a Masters in Development Studies from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University (South Africa).
