Due to cyclical poverty and decades of conflict, Angola is particularly susceptible to exploitive child labour. Though child labour is known to be prevalent in Angola, little information exists on its scope and causes. Thus, in support of the United States Department of Labor’s Protecting Children through Education Solutions (PROSOL) Project, Khulisa Management Services was contracted to design and implement a situational assessment of child labour in select provinces in Angola on behalf of Save the Children, USA.

Khulisa provided assistance with the development and implementation of the baseline study and the provision of expertise in the operation and management of the US DoL Student Tracking System database, which targeted 37,000 children.

Khulisa also conducted a Situational Assessment of child labour in the target provinces of Kwanza Sul and Benguela to address the shortfall of information relating to child labor in Angola.
