Consultancy Position
Project Manager: Health Systems
HIV, TB & Malaria
Fluent in English and French or Spanish or Portuguese
Experienced public health expert with extensive experience in large-scale surveys, including quality assurance, managing projects and leading teams. Proven track record of mixed-methods analytical skills, including collecting, cleaning, analyzing, summarizing and interpreting complex epidemiological and programmatic HIV, TB and/or malaria data and qualitative information
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in public health/international development or other relevant area. PhD highly desirable;
- 10+ years’ experience in international public health;
- 5+ years’ experience in designing and implementing in health systems for HIV, TB and/or malaria programs;
- Experience leading health facility assessments, data quality reviews, or other similar large-scale surveys;
- Statistical knowledge and experience in sampling and analysis of survey results;
- Proven track record of mixed-methods analytical skills, including collecting, cleaning, analyzing, summarizing and interpreting complex epidemiological and programmatic HIV, TB and/or malaria data and qualitative information;
- Experience providing quality assurance oversight for surveys and research
- Excellent analytical, writing, communication and presentation skills;
- Familiarity with statistical packages and tools to facilitate both data capture (CS Pro) and data analysis (SPSS, STATA, Excel, etc.).
- Experience working with WHO SARA/DQR tools highly desirable;
- Experience in leading international teams;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience working in international environments in a culturally sensitive manner with multi-disciplinary teams;
- Ability to interact with a range of stakeholders from high level government officials to community members;
- Fluency in written and spoken English, French, Spanish, or Portuguese;
- Experience working in either southern, eastern or western Africa.
