Consultancy Position

Malaria Epidemiologist

Work experience in southern, eastern or western Africa.

Fluent in English and French or Spanish or Portuguese

 Experienced malaria epidemiologist with extensive experience in M&E and large-scale surveys, including quality assurance and leading teams.
Must be fully available for consulting work (not full time employed).

Requirements:

Medical degree and/or Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, parasitology or related biological sciences;

• 7+ years’ experience in international public health work;
• 4+ years’ experience in malaria case management and/or surveillance activities;
• Proven track record in coordinating, supervising and monitoring of malaria case management;
• Experience working with international teams and dealing in a culturally appropriate manner with a range of stakeholders, from high level government officials to individual patients;
• Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills;
• Fluency in written and spoken English and French, Spanish, or Portuguese;
• Experience working in either southern, eastern or western Africa.
• Track record in conducting and/or coordinating population-based surveys, such as MIS, MICS, or DHS, advantageous (but not mandatory)
• Proven track record in conducting and/or coordinating therapeutic efficacy surveillance activities, advantageous (but not mandatory)
