Khulisa Management Services Inc. is seeking a strong Project Coordinator/M&E associate.
The position will coordinate USAID MEL Platforms in West Africa from our Bethesda Office. In addition, he/she will engage in Monitoring and Evaluation and research projects through writing proposals, developing timelines, developing research instruments, coordinating outreach/activities collecting data, analyzing data, writing reports, and preparing and facilitating presentations/workshops. This position entails some local and international travel.

Qualifications & Experience
- A Master’s degree (in a relevant field, such as international development, M&E, social sciences, education, democracy and governance, etc.)
- 3 to 5 years demonstrated experience participating in M&E activities or other international development programs
- Providing day-to-day support to project team and clients in West Africa, report writing and graphics, engaging in the planning and coordination of travel logistics, work plans, timelines for deliverables, scheduling meetings with consultants and stakeholders, and attending meetings with clients regarding projects
- Qualitative and/or quantitative evaluation skills, including sample design, mixed method designs, data analysis and instrument development is desirable
- At least 3 years’ experience in an inter-cultural and multi-sectoral environment
- Pro-active self-starter, team player willing to take initiative and go the extra mile
- Good writing and research skills; conducts research from all open sources such, as libraries and the internet
- Willingness to embrace a multi-tasking environment with a great opportunity for acquiring new knowledge and experience
- A good command of statistics, sampling methodologies, and statistical analysis software such as SPSS, STATA, NVivo, among others, managing complex data collection and analysis efforts is desirable
- Knowledge/experience working with multi-lateral and bilateral donor agency activities and policies/procedures (e.g., United States Government (USG) agencies, such as USAID, State Department, Department of Defense; other agencies like United Nations, World Bank, foundations, etc.)
- Excellent written and spoken proficiency in English is required
- Language skills in French, Portuguese, and/or Spanish or any second language is an advantage
- Security clearance is an advantage
Responsibilities
- Support managing MEL Platform in West Africa, program evaluations, assessments, data quality audits, etc.
- Supervise and collect, capture and analyse data and prepare reports
- Develop tools for data collection – e.g. baseline evaluation, other assessments/protocols
- Contribute to data management, analyze data, prepare and write reports
- Contribute to technical components of proposals
- Manage other projects and assignments as needed
- Contribute to thought leadership in Khulisa and in the sector
