Khulisa Management Services seeks qualified and available candidates based in southern Africa for full time employment for a Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Learning and Evaluation activity in Zambia. This is a full time employment opportunity. Anticipated start date: July 2018 (4 to 7 years)

 

The project objectives are to:

  1. Create a culture of learning and adaptive management under SUN activities;
  2. Conduct baseline, midline and endline surveys for SUN activities;
  3. Conduct focused studies; and,
  4. Conduct biennial performance audits of SUN activities.

 


 

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Advanced relevant qualification
  • 10+ years relevant experience in Nutrition, Learning and Evaluation
  • Extensive experience leading teams for USAID projects/programs, preferably in Zambia
  • Southern African in-country work experience, including Zambia
  • Based in Southern Africa, preferably Zambia
  • Experience in gender programming highly advantageous

 

Project Director

  • Experience in high-level technical oversight of learning and evaluation of health-related programs;
  • Extensive experience in all phases of evaluation and research, knowledge management, and translating data into policy change and program improvements;
  • Demonstrated ability to build, motivate, and manage teams to achieve results;
  • Demonstrated ability to work with host-country governments [at different levels];
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication, including ability to interpret data and research clearly for a wide range of policy makers and stakeholders;
  • Able to provide leadership and oversight of large-scale projects;
  • Able to coordinate various technical experts and ensure alignment in activities.

 

Strategic Information Expert

  • Expertise in research and data collection design and management, including expert-level oversight and quality control of data collection and research;
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in providing technical expertise to host government(s) or private sector in learning and evaluation;
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to adapt communication styles to a range of audiences;
  • Demonstrate ability to present information on scientific studies, operations research and costbenefit analysis, including using relevant data for advocacy on integrating high-impact practices at all levels of implementation;
