Khulisa is currently seeking candidates for two positions with the following requisite qualifications for a ten-month evaluation of the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration (PRM)-supported initiatives to prevent and reduce statelessness.
Evaluation Team Requirements (for both positions)
- Master’s degree or higher in a relevant discipline;
- At least 5 (five) years of relevant work experience in humanitarian settings;
- Demonstrated familiarity with refugee and displacement contexts;
- Must have familiarity of both technical and humanitarian terms;
- Prior experience and knowledge of PRM is highly beneficial;
- Prior project and/or program experience on United States Government (USG)-funded assignments is required, preferably US Department of State and/or PRM;
- Familiarity with other donor institutions and UN agencies is beneficial;
- Must be proficient in English (speaking and writing).
- Proficiency in 1 or more advantageous:Thai, French, Ukrainian, Kurdish, Arabic, Nepali, Burmese, Malay; Kyrgyz, Russian or Swahili.
- Familiarity with software such as Excel, etc. for data analysis.

Position 1: Evaluation Advisor/Specialist (Team Lead) (Mid or Senior)
- Experience designing, implementingand leading evaluations for complex humanitarian settings (i.e. refugee situations);
- Track record of managing large-scale evaluations effectively and collaboratively;
- Proven experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting;
- Based in Washington D.C. U.S.
Position 2: Humanitarian Technical Advisor/Subject Matter Expert (Mid or Senior)
- Expertise in the prevention & reduction of statelessness, including its effect ondisplacement;
- Must have experience conducting research on statelessness or working on statelessness programming/advocacy in humanitarian response contexts;
- An understanding of gender-specific sensitivities in the context of statelessness is required;
- Thorough understanding and commitment to uphold ethical and safety standards, including protecting confidentiality, as it relates to researching statelessness;
- Prior understanding of State Department/PRM and its partners in protecting and empowering women and girls plus familiarity with other relevant statelessness resources.
- Based in Washington, D.C. or Geneva, Switzerland (preferred)
