The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Khulisa’s largest client, has developed a useful tool for planning evaluations of nutrition programs. The tool, available to the public in PDF format, presents the different types of evaluations – performance evaluations, process evaluations, impact evaluations, etc. – and when/how to carry them out. The “Decision Tree”, which asks users a series of questions that eventually leads them to the correct evaluation method choice, is particularly helpful.
