Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) is no longer something to fear and shy away from; GenAI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude continue to evolve and become more useful for evaluators. These tools can enhance our work and make it easier – the biggest challenge is learning how to harness their power. 

Recently the American Evaluation Association (AEA) published a useful article by evaluator Molly Linaberger that is filled with tips and tricks for using GenAI in evaluation. Tips in the article include advice on using GenAI to spark creativity, GenAI as a tool for minimizing jargon, and how to check your writing for clarity using GenAI.
