Khulisa is excited to work with the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation to conduct an impact evaluation of their programmes. The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation seeks to foster a community of responsible, high impact entrepreneurs in order to achieve an equitable South Africa flourishing with meaningful employment. The Foundation implements four flagship programmes, namely the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Challenge and Scholarship programme which seek to develop an entrepreneurial mindset of high school learners; the Fellowship programme which looks for young achievers transitioning into university as well as the Association programme – made up of those who have completed the Fellowship programme and have either entered the world of work or chosen to start a business .

As part of the evaluation, we will follow the entrepreneurs on their development path to assess how the programmes have supported them. In order to measure impact, we are comparing their pathways with those who applied for the programmes and almost made it in.
