As part of Khulisa’s vision to build emergent evaluators in Africa and globally, our internship programme continues to attract individuals who are not only passionate about research but also leadership.

In October 2020, we welcomed our third Mandela Rhodes Scholar, Mosa Leteane, as an intern in our New Initiatives division. She joins Leticia Taimo (2013 scholar) who started as an intern in 2015 and is now one of our senior associates; as well as Heather Dixon (2018 scholar) who was an intern in 2019, and is now also an associate.

The Mandela Rhodes Foundation offers young leaders from across the African continent a chance to become part of Nelson Mandela’s legacy of transformative impact. It offers a life-changing opportunity for personal growth via a prestigious postgraduate scholarship and Leadership Development Programme, for those who want to use their talents to serve Africa.

The programme is built on Nelson Mandela’s belief that leadership begins with inner transformation, and founding principles of reconciliation, education, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Since we began our internship programme in 1995, we have worked with over 100 interns from over 20 nationalities who have went on to become pioneers in their fields and leaders in society.
