Zambia’s 2023 National Nutrition Conference, which took place in Lusaka on September 1314, 2023, was a forum for stakeholders in the Scaling Up Nutrition First 1000 Most Critical Days Program (SUN 2.0/MCDP II) to engage around the topic of nutrition in Zambia.

Khulisa, which implements the  Scaling Up Nutrition Learning and Evaluation (SUN LE) project with a team of international and local partners, was a key organizer and participant in the conference.

The conference theme wasStrengthening and Accelerating Delivery of Multisectoral Nutrition Interventions through Evidence-driven Programming, and it provided Khulisa and its partners the opportunity to disseminate the findings of recent studies, assessments, lessons learned, best practices, and innovations relevant to SUN 2.0/MCDP II. 

One conference highlight was the speech by Hon. Sylvia Masebo, Zambia’s Minister of Health, who shared where the country currently stands in terms of nutrition and the plans that the government has in place to address nutrition issues in the country.
