We are applying the thinking on scalability in this Framework for Understanding Transformation Change in a learning brief by ITAD. In Khulisa’s PERFORMANCE contract for USAID Southern Africa, we are evaluating a Reading Support Project and one of the key questions relates to scaling up education coaching interventions at provincial or district level.


The framework in the ITAD learning brief provides an excellent schematic presentation for achieving transformational change over four domains: Relevance (adopt), Systemic change (adapt), Scaling up (expand) and Sustainability (maintain).
